To change or not to change, that is the question...

So I've been thinking...how wise is it to change your blog header from time to time? I sat with my paint work book, over the weekend and came up with some variations of Plain Vanilla. This is the first one, theres another that I shall post soon...What do you think? Besides the fact that I obviously need a better camera. (I know, I know!)

Holidays

Let not anyone say I was idle hands during the holidays. Actually, a lot of my friends have well meaningly given me an earful about letting my blog flounder like this while life goes on. True, true, I have been a bad, bad blogger, not posted anything for days now. I was traveling first and then painters block (hereon, to be known as P.B) took over.
I have spent the last few days of the Diwali weekend well and have some progress in ridding myself of P.B.
Here's some of the work.

Sold my First piece!

Hello, hello, I've sold my first piece, the tissue box below. I have never repeated any designs, but in this case I might make an exception. I am working on a new colour combination for the same design. Will keep you posted.

Shopping Karma

I believe strongly in shopping karma. The amount you shop will always come back to haunt you. If its too less, you will always wonder late into the night why you didn't pick up that gorgeous
coffee coloured dress when you had the chance to, and if its too much, well...i'm sure we dont need to remind ourselves of what happens then. I'm just back from Singapore and my legs hurt from all that walking and my joints feel like that of a 65 year old. The heart and the soul, though, are in a warm fuzzy place, thinking of all the different permutations and combinations that I am going to subject my twenty (yes, thats 20) new dresses to.
I picked this bag up in Singapore from a shop called Art Box, nice quirky store in one of those endless mazes that malls in Singapore resemble. Its not particularly hard working, it already had a tear in a little corner by the time I had reached the airport. Its quite adorable though, what do you think?

Weddings are made of these...

So this has nothing to do with Plain Vanilla but I thought it was too cool to be left undiscovered. Currently one of the most viewed videos on YouTube- watch it & you will probably wonder why your friends didn't think of this, before.

Hiya Singapore

Hello Singapore!
I landed four hours back in the city, of which two hours were spent in the hotel's breakfast lounge waiting for the previous occupants to leave ( and the hotel staff to clean up after them), one hour or so indulging in mindless, inane (like really inane) chatter with the hotel receptionist in the hope that she would get tired enough to ensure we got our rooms fast and the remaining one hour was spent checking in and making my hotel room feel somewhat personal for the next four days that I am here. Enough work for a Tuesday morning.

I am off to hunt for a grocery store nearby. Need munchies when you are staying in a hotel for work and are likely to spend long hours tapping away into the keyboard. Ciao!

Oh, and here's the view from my room....
